
Minneapolis Police are currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on the evening of November 5th in the 2600 block of West Broadway. According to a statement obtained by Minneapolis official communications, the incident left one woman dead.
Responding to a report at approximately 5:46 p.m., Fourth Precinct Officers arrived to find the woman fatally shot. As reported, it appears she was with a male acquaintance inside an apartment when the man fired shots, ultimately striking her. A 65-year-old man has been arrested and to surely face charges, with a firearm and a knife being recovered from the scene.
While the investigation is ongoing, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara emphasized the need for anyone with information to come forward, highlighting the importance of community assistance in such cases. Evidence has been collected by Minneapolis Forensic Scientists, and the name of the deceased will soon be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
The man involved is currently being held at Hennepin County Jail, and the case, bearing the number 25-321581, is under active scrutiny by investigators working to determine the full circumstances of this tragic event.
