Minneapolis has seen its fair share of car thefts, but the apprehension of four suspects at one go is worth noting. According to a social media post by the Minneapolis Police Department, a recent incident near 35th Street East & Nicollet Avenue involved the swift capture of youths suspected of stealing a vehicle connected to a shots-fired incident. Responding to a call about stolen items from a gas station, the officers found the referenced vehicle abandoned.
Upon their arrival, the group of juveniles believed to have been associated with the car took off running. It proved to be a futile attempt as the Minneapolis Police were able to quickly catch and arrest all of them. The police department's account praised their officers for the quick apprehension of the suspects, saying, "It's always a good day when we catch a suspected car thief -- and even better when we nab four of them at the same time!"
The Minneapolis Police Department's social media acknowledgement of the officers' fast work underscores the value placed on responsiveness in today's policing landscape. "Huge shoutout to these officers for their fast work!" the post concluded.
