Missouri State Parks is reaching out to park-goers in a bid to gather insights on the economic and social impacts of parks and historic sites. According to a statement obtained by Missouri Department of Natural Resources, a partnership with the University of Missouri is set to help enhance visitor experiences and strengthen local communities.
Visitors who have explored any of Missouri's 93 state park or historic sites over the past year are invited to anonymously complete a 5-minute survey. The goal is to directly tap into the opinions of the park users to continuously improve guest experiences. "Our goal is to continually improve guest experiences in Missouri state parks," Laura Hendrickson, director of Missouri State Parks, told the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. "This input is essential in helping us better serve our visitors and to make sure our parks remain treasured assets for generations to come."
The survey aims to scoop up data that proves critical for understanding the value these natural and historical assets contribute to their localities. "Whether you're a hiker, history enthusiast or camper, your perspective matters. The survey is quick, anonymous and crucial," Hendrickson emphasized in her statement to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

The survey's initial question, which might appear oddly specific, was strategically placed to separate data for a Katy Trail-specific report and a system-wide analysis.
