Heads up, Missouri drivers. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) announced a road closure that's bound to affect your travel plans. Route FF, the stretch between Elmwood and Weida is going to be out of commission, for a couple of days next week. Specifically, the segment will be shut down on Monday, November 17, and Tuesday, November 18, MoDOT reported.
The road will be closed from the early hours of the morning, 8 a.m., to mid-afternoon, at 3 p.m. on both days. Planned disruptions like these, though temporary, are a good nudge to map out alternate routes ahead of time. MoDOT has been proactive, posting message boards to alert the public of the upcoming closure, and likely, detour options will be indicated for the commuting crowd.
The local communities, businesses, and daily commuters are thus encouraged to plan for these dates. MoDOT's foresight in communicating early tells us they're trying to smooth over the inevitable travel wrinkles these closures will cause. For updates and more detailed information, residents can always hit up MoDOT’s website or their customer service.
