Local authorities in Monroe are warning residents to increase security following a series of vehicle break-ins between November 11 and 13, mainly near the Frenchman's Bend and Riverside Manor areas. The Monroe Police Department is investigating the incidents and has released images of two suspects from surveillance footage.
"We encourage everyone to take precautions — do not leave valuables in your vehicles, and always ensure that your vehicles and residences are locked to avoid becoming an easy target for criminals," police said, as reported by CBS News Detroit. Residents are asked to report tips or video evidence to Detective McKenzie at (734) 243-7517 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP.
According to the Monroe Public Safety on their Facebook page, residents are asked to share any video evidence of recent vehicle break-ins using a link or QR code. Authorities reminded people to secure their belongings and said they are investigating the incidents. Community submissions may help identify the suspects.
