
A tragic accident in Greater Cincinnati has claimed the life of a motorcyclist after a collision with a stopped vehicle on Wednesday afternoon. LOCAL12 reported that 29-year-old Ryan D. Dalton of West Union was pronounced dead by the Adams County Coroner following the incident, which occurred around 3:16 p.m. on Sunrise Ave. near Cosby St. Dalton was operating a 2024 Yamaha R7 motorcycle when he struck the rear of a 2025 Volkswagen Atlas that was stationary.
According to the FOX19, Dalton was riding eastbound when the crash happened, the Ohio State Highway Patrol is conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash and the circumstances leading to it, despite Dalton wearing a helmet and the Volkswagen driver, identified as Kellen A. Phillips, 44, of Richfield, unharmed and wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision no other injuries have been reported as a result.
The aftermath of the accident saw multiple agencies at the scene, with assistance from the West Union Police Department, Adams County Sheriff’s Office, West Union Fire and EMS, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
