A collision between a Ford Fusion and a motorcycle on Thanksgiving night in southwest Atlanta resulted in the death of a motorcyclist. The crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. at 957 Metropolitan Parkway SW, according to an 11Alive report. Atlanta police found the 35-year-old male motorcyclist unresponsive, and he was later pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
According to officers, the accident involved a Ford Fusion driven by a 48-year-old woman, who reportedly remained at the scene and sustained no significant injuries. The motorcycle, traveling southbound, collided with the Ford Fusion as it was making a left turn into a driveway. A follow-up report from FOX 5 Atlanta confirmed that the driver stayed at the scene and reported no major injuries.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released by authorities. The Atlanta Police Department’s Accident Investigations Unit is working to reconstruct the crash and collect evidence to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal collision.
