The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has taken 33-year-old Lee Roy Baillargeon of Moultrie, GA, into custody, leveling against him charges that are as severe as they are solemn: three counts of Child Molestation and one count of Criminal Attempt to Commit Rape. The GBI's involvement came at the behest of the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office, which called for assistance in a child molestation case on October 30. The victim, who remains shielded by privacy and youth, is known to have been acquainted with Baillargeon. The alleged incidents that gave rise to the charges are said to have occurred between March and August of 2025, within the bounds of Colquitt County.
Baillargeon found himself arrested and escorted to the confines of the Colquitt County Jail on November 3, as per the official statement from the GBI. The due process of law now awaits its deliberation in the corridors of justice.
