A tight-knit Monument community is on edge after 17-year-old Avery Hull, a Choctaw teen with a developmental disability, vanished Saturday night, reportedly seen on a Ring doorbell camera getting into an unknown vehicle and never returning home. Hull is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and about 117 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Family members and investigators say she requires medication and have urged residents to be extra alert as the search continues.

According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, law enforcement agencies can request a Developmental Disabilities Alert when a verified missing person with a developmental disability faces a credible threat to their safety. The CBI then coordinates the distribution of that alert to media outlets and police statewide, a system designed to move faster when someone who needs medication or specialised care goes missing.

KKTV reports that Hull was last seen at 9:27 p.m. Saturday near the 19800 block of Sundance Trail in Monument. Ring video from the area reportedly shows her getting into an unknown vehicle.

When she was last seen, Hull was wearing a brown hoodie, jean shorts, and white shoes. She reportedly has a nose ring and hoop earrings. Investigators have described her as Indigenous, Choctaw and have repeatedly emphasised that she needs her medication.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office lists contact numbers and a Community Video Program on its website, which allows residents and businesses to share surveillance footage with deputies. Investigators say that even a brief clip of doorbell or dash-cam video, or a license plate that looks out of place, can be the missing piece in an urgent case like this.
