The Nashville Fire Department has expanded its capabilities with the addition of Truck Company Number 33 at Fire Station 33 in Antioch. This upgrade supports the fast-growing Southeast region and strengthens coverage along Murfreesboro Pike, according to the Metro Nashville.

With this new unit, the department now operates 14 Truck Companies across Metro Nashville Davidson County, including 10 aerials, 2 towers, and 2 tillers. As Director Chief William Swann stated, "The addition of Truck Company Number 33 will allow for faster response times and better fire suppression coverage for the Antioch area," as reported by the Metro Nashville.

Truck Company Number 33 adds round-the-clock firefighting and rescue support in Metro Nashville. Its crew includes EMTs and Firefighter Paramedics, and the truck carries equipment for elevated operations and vehicle extrication. The company is meant to ease the workload on other truck companies and improve response times. It is funded through the Fiscal 2026 operating budget approved by the Metro Nashville Council. The addition comes as incident responses in the county increased by 14.3% between January 1 and November 6.
