Yesterday, San Mateo Police Department officers responded to a report of a theft at Lululemon in the Hillsdale Mall. According to the San Mateo Police Department, approximately $6,000 worth of clothing was taken by an adult male, a juvenile male, and two juvenile females, who then fled by vehicle.

Afterward, fleeing the area in a vehicle, officers were quick to locate it in Oakland. Arrested at the scene was Charles Gaines II, a 19-year-old Oakland resident, alongside the three other juvenile suspects. Following their arrest, Gaines now faces charges of second-degree burglary, organized retail theft, conspiracy to commit a crime, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, as noted in the department's announcement. The stolen goods were found in the vehicle, which was later towed, and the juveniles involved were released to their guardians after being charged and identified in connection with an earlier incident involving Lululemon, with reported losses of $13,000.

The three juveniles' charges include second-degree burglary, organized retail theft with intent to sell the stolen merchandise, and conspiracy to commit a crime. They have been forwarded to Hillcrest Juvenile Hall.

Specifically, Gaines was booked into the San Mateo County Jail, while the three juveniles associated with the case were processed and released into the custody of their parents. Two of these juveniles were recognized from a previous theft at the same Lululemon store.
