
A shooting occurred outside an event space in southwest Atlanta after an argument that began inside the venue. FOX 5 Atlanta reports that the gunfire happened in the parking lot shortly before 10 p.m. Officers responding to the 1900 block of Campbellton Road found a 26-year-old man who had died from gunshot wounds. A second man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was last reported to be in stable condition.
According to Atlanta News First, no suspects have been arrested at this time as authorities continue their investigation. Atlanta Police Lt. Christopher Butler said the shooting may have stemmed from a dispute that moved into the parking lot.
Authorities are asking the public to provide any information related to the shooting. Detectives are also reviewing surveillance footage to help identify those involved or any vehicles connected to the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be released as more information becomes available.
