The incident, which took place at approximately 1:27 PM yesterday, led to the discovery of one deceased adult male and one critically injured adult female, who was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital. Her current condition suggests she is expected to survive.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, patrols responded to the 4400 block of Milburn Drive after receiving multiple calls about gunfire, and upon arrival, they secured the scene and detained one individual for further questioning. No charges have been filed at the moment. The El Paso County Coroner's Office is tasked with revealing the identity of the deceased and will also determine the manner of death when they deem it suitable to release that information.
Officials assure that all individuals with potential involvement in the violent encounter have been accounted for, stressing that there's no ongoing threat to the community's safety.
