A deadly confrontation ensued last Saturday in Memphis' Frayser neighborhood, leading to the death of one man and critical injuries to two others. The Local Memphis reports that Memphis Police arrived at the scene on Frayser Boulevard near Ardmore Street around 10:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire inside a store.
Upon officers' arrival, three men with gunshot wounds were discovered, says FOX13 Memphis. One man was unable to survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two were rushed to the hospital in a state of extreme distress.
The violence reportedly stemmed from an altercation inside the store, involving two of the victims and two yet-to-be-identified men. According to surveillance footage, a group of individuals was seen fleeing the location shortly after the incident, with Memphis Police now actively on the lookout for two men, one dressed in all-black attire and the other in a blue shirt, as detailed by WREG.
In the aftermath of the shooting, the Memphis Police have appealed to the public for any information that might assist in their investigation. Anyone with knowledge of the event is encouraged to contact CrimeStoppers at (901) 528-CASH. Darranicka, a Frayser resident, expressed to WREG that the incident was not surprising, underscoring a persistent issue of criminal activity within the community: "It don't surprise me, people are killing when you're going to the store, it don't surprise me at all," she said.
