
One person has died following a vehicle incident in Leicester, Massachusetts, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office. NBC Boston reports that police responded to Homestead Lane around 1 p.m. yesterday, where they found a person trapped under a vehicle. The victim was airlifted to UMass with serious injuries and later pronounced dead.
Two other individuals sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital. Officials said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Aerial footage from local media showed a sedan partially out of a garage and surrounded by caution tape.
The investigation is being conducted jointly by Leicester police and state police to determine the cause of the crash. WHDH reports that the deceased’s identity has not yet been released. Authorities have confirmed one fatality and minor injuries to the other two victims. Further updates are expected as the investigation continues.
