In an effort to connect veterans and military families with career opportunities, Pima County's Community & Workforce Development Department is set to hold a Veterans Job Fair. The event, orchestrated by the Kino Veterans' Workforce Center, is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, providing a platform for more than 40 employers to actively recruit from the military community.
The job fair, which aims to quickly match veterans with employers, will run from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Kino Event Center, located at 2805 E. Ajo Way. Those who have served in active military, guard, and reserve roles, as well as military spouses, are invited to attend to possibly find secure employment across a diverse array of fields—including construction, manufacturing, government, transportation, aviation, call centers, and warehousing.
A direct contribution from the Kino Veterans' Workforce Center, a hub since 2012 for specialized employment services for veterans and their partners, underscores the ongoing support for this community. According to a statement obtained by Pima County Newsroom, "We want all the veterans and the military spouses to know that we are here to serve them," professed Gabriel Lopez, the Business Services manager of the Kino Veterans’ Workforce Center. "Once they come in, they’re amazed to see all the different resources available to them."
Eligibility extends to all veterans, barring those with dishonorable discharges, and service members transitioning out of active duty within six months. The Pima County One-Stop is also committed to offering an up-to-date online list of job opportunities and hiring events for the veteran community.
