A tragic turn of events unfolded in Kingston as a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck claimed the life of a Plymouth man. The incident took place around 6 p.m. yesterday, near 23 Main Street, otherwise known as Route 3A. First responders arrived at the scene to find the motorcycle operator unresponsive, according to Boston 25 News.
Shutting down the thoroughfare for hours from the Plymouth town line to the end of Crescent Street, the crash led to significant disruptions. The authorities had the road cleared and reopened by 10:15 p.m., as noted by NBC Boston. The State Police alongside local law enforcement are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
The 38-year-old man, whose identity has not been publicly released, was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Kingston police expressed their heartfelt condolences, stating, "As we approach the holidays, we can’t express enough how sorry we are to the loved ones of the victim," in a statement obtained by Boston 25 News.
