A 49-year-old man was killed after his scooter was struck by a vehicle early morning yesterday in Port St. Lucie. According to CBS12, the crash happened at the intersection of SE Crosstown Parkway and SE Sandia Drive. The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital with severe injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police closed the intersection to investigate the incident, which remains under investigation. WPBF reported that motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes while the closure was in effect.
