16C, the popular Quincy restaurant, will close at the end of December. Since opening in 2016, 16C has been a staple in Quincy Center. Delaney reflected on working alongside her father and the restaurant’s journey, while noting she plans to remain involved in the local dining scene at Kilroy’s on Cottage Avenue, Kerri Lynch Delaney announced in a Facebook post.
Known for its Quiet Man steak tips and pizza, 16C also served as a place for family collaboration and community gatherings. The restaurant was a part of the local community, welcoming regular patrons, including visits from Delaney's mother.
Boston Restaurant Talk notes that 16C’s connection to Boston’s culinary scene is reinforced by Kerri Lynch Delaney’s relation to her aunt, Barbara Lynch, the restaurateur behind Boston staples like Menton and No. 9 Park. At 16C, Delaney contributed to Quincy's dining scene, with dishes like the Quiet Man steak tips becoming part of the local food culture.
As a final gesture to her patrons, Delaney is inviting customers to visit 16C for one last meal.
