The Salem Police Department has issued a call for public assistance following a physical assault that occurred at the Museum Place Garage in the early hours of Halloween. In a social media post by the Salem Police Department, authorities described the suspect as a "short in stature, longer style hair, possibly of Asian or Hispanic descent," last seen wearing a NY Yankees ballcap.
The altercation took place at approximately 00:44 a.m. on Friday, 31 October. According to the Salem Police, the suspect may have visited the Village Tavern before the incident occurred. The public is urged to come forward with any information that could lead to identifying the individual responsible for the assault. Lt. Kristian Hanson of the Salem Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is the primary contact for tips, which can be phoned in or emailed directly to his office.
