
San Francisco's firefighting crews were hailed for their rapid response to a blaze that erupted on the top floor of a multi-residential building in the 1000 block of Montgomery Street. Within minutes of receiving several 911 calls, units from the San Francisco Fire Department, including Engine 13, arrived at the scene. Division Chief Nicol Juratovac underscored the urgency of their mission, stating "This was a Herculean feat by members of #YourSFFD," in a social media post by the San Francisco Fire Department.
The firefighters were met with an advanced stage of fire, prompting them to quickly initiate an offensive, interior attack to extinguish the flames and simultaneously conduct search and rescue operations within the building. According to the San Francisco Fire Department's social media update, their efforts were not only successful in quelling the fire but also ensured that all residents were safely evacuated, with assistance offered by the Red Cross for those in need. Remarkably, no injuries were reported, and even a cat was safely rescued from the ordeal.
