San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced a recent victory of her office securing the conviction of 21-year-old Christopher Delgado on charges of making criminal threats, assault, and damaging a communications device. The outcome of the jury trial stems from a domestic violence incident that occurred on May 28, 2024, as reported by the SF District Attorney's official website.

Highlighting the significance of the conviction, District Attorney Jenkins said, per the SF District Attorney's Office, “The jury’s verdict holds Mr. Delgado accountable for his crimes, and hopefully, will prevent future harm and tragedy.” She reinforced her office's dedication to supporting survivors of domestic abuse and their unwavering commitment to breaking the cycle of abuse. Following the trial, the details of which bring into the stark light Delgado's actions, revealed through testimony and evidence, paint a grim portrait of the event.

According to Delgado's trial, the victim contacted 911 to report that Delgado had spat on her and was refusing to leave her premises, making threatening statements. The emergency call was cut short amid her attempt to provide Delgado's information. Dispatch attempts to reconnect were initially unanswered, but eventually, the victim revealed Delgado's act of snatching the phone from her and subsequently throwing it. She expressed to the authorities a fear for her life, citing Delgado's possession of a gun and earlier threats communicated through text messages with content such as, “when you’re dead it's not gonna be a joke anymore,” and “Ima have some bitches beat yo ass,” which the victim shared with the officers, according to the SF District Attorney's Office.

Delgado is currently out of custody, with the sentencing scheduled for December 12.
