Last Friday, a residential burglary unfolded in west San José, promptly drawing the attention of local law enforcement. According to the San José Police Department's official release, at 10:14 AM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers were dispatched to the scene after a witness reported two individuals forcefully entering a garage and removing various items. The suspects managed to flee in a vehicle before officers arrived.
Using Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology, officers were able to locate and track down the suspect vehicle quickly. A vehicle enforcement stop conducted at the 100 block of Muirfield Drive led to the arrest of three individuals: Juan Montano, Ana Serrano, and Marisol Hernandez-Alvarez. Subsequent search warrants executed for both the vehicle and the suspects' residence unearthed a multitude of incriminating evidence, including a stolen rifle, a privately made firearm, and stolen property linked to the report of residential burglary.
The investigation didn't end with the initial arrests. Two additional suspects, Diego Roque-Arellano and Jesus Luvio-Roque, were discovered at the same residence. The duo was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for crimes related to the possession of stolen property and firearms. All five suspects, now facing charges ranging from burglary to firearm-related offenses, are San José residents.
