Busy back-to-back shoplifting events rocked Boston's Back Bay last week, leading to the arrests of four individuals, including two juveniles. The first incident took place near 3:58 PM, where according to Boston Police Department, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to reports of theft at the Alo store on Boylston Street. Two female suspects reportedly had moved on to continue their spree at the Lululemon store.
Police managed to confront the suspects as they were to make their exit, finding one individual in possession of stolen items from both stores, tallying up to around $516 in merchandise. A 15-year-old girl was taken into custody and is slated for arraignment in Boston Municipal Court on "Two counts of Delinquent to wit; Shoplifting by Asportation," as mentioned on the Boston Police Department website. Soon after this, another incident unfolded at approximately 5:15 PM. Officers were tipped off about two known shoplifters stuffing various items into their clothing and a bag inside another store.
The subsequent arrests yielded around $1,422 in stolen goods. The accused, Kayla Harris, 31, and Demetrius Little, 31, both face charges of Larceny over $1,200, and Conspiracy. Shortly after, police were once again called into action at 6:00 PM when a group attempted to shoplift items. Officers had to chase down a suspect who tried to run and resist arrest. A struggle ensued before the suspect, a 14-year-old boy, was handcuffed. He's expected to face his own day in court, charged with "Delinquent to wit; Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise" and "Delinquent to wit; Resist Arrest," as per the Boston Police Department.
