
During the week, the Shrewsbury Police Department responded to several incidents, including a shoplifting case last Wednesday where a woman stole over $900 in goods, including a baby stroller. "The suspect said the stroller was to make hauling the rest of the loot faster," according to the City of Shrewsbury.
Last Thursday, officers had to tow an unoccupied and unregistered vehicle blocking traffic on Watson Road. The following day, a driver going the wrong way on Exeter Ave was arrested due to active warrants after a traffic stop, as reported by the City of Shrewsbury.
From November 17 to 23, Shrewsbury Police responded to 15 auto accidents, 6 reports of suspicious activity, 7 thefts, and other incidents. "We assisted the Fire Department with 31 calls and conducted 48 traffic stops (which includes directed enforcement in problems areas)," the police report stated, as mentioned by the City of Shrewsbury.
