As June approaches, the Socorro Independent School District (SISD) gears up for a two-day graduation spectacle to honor the Class of 2026. The ceremonies are slated for June 5 and 6 at the University of Texas at El Paso's Don Haskins Center, situated at 151 Glory Road. This event promises to be a landmark occasion for students, faculty, and families alike, marking the culmination of years of hard work and academic achievement.
According to the schedule released by Socorro ISD, the first day of graduation ceremonies will kick off on Friday, June 5, with Mission Early College High School at 8 a.m. The day will continue with Pebble Hills High School's commencement at 11 a.m., followed by Socorro High School at 3 p.m., and concluding with Americas High School at 7 p.m.
The following day, Saturday, June 6, continues the celebrations beginning with Eastlake High School at 9 a.m. Graduates from El Dorado High School will walk the stage at 1 p.m., and Montwood High School's ceremony will cap off the evening at 5 p.m. Each commencement will represent a significant milestone for the graduates and a time for the community to come together in support and recognition of their accomplishments.
The schedule also includes a unique Monday event on June 8, with a location yet to be announced, to host the commencement ceremonies for Options High School at 9 a.m. and Community Education at 4 p.m. This particular day dedicated to alternative education pathways underscores the district's commitment to celebrating the diverse educational journeys and achievements of all its students.
