St. Charles Parish is gearing up for holiday cheer as the community prepares for the annual Toy and Gift Event. Set for December 13, children ranging from infants to 14-year-olds can revel in sending their letters to Santa while enjoying a family-friendly day. According to St. Charles Parish's announcement, the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center in Luling will be the hub of festivities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event boasts a portfolio of supportive organizations, including Toys for Tots, Valero, The Times-Picayune Doll & Toy Fund, United Way of St. Charles, and Bunge. These collective efforts underline the community's commitment to bringing joy and warm holiday experiences to its youngest residents. Attendees must be escorted by a parent or guardian and provide proof of residency to partake in the gifting merriment.
Aside from the main event of letter-sending and receiving gifts, families can also partake in complimentary refreshments. These goodies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the event's organizers. The gathering at the community center, located at 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway, promises to be an enriching experience for the children and families, according to the same news.
