
Tragedy struck the Carondelet neighborhood earlier this week when a shooting resulted in the death of a local resident. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported that 63-year-old Robert Marcoulier of St. Louis City was the victim of a shooting on the 7100 block of Alabama on Saturday. Officers who responded to the scene at approximately 3:15 PM found Marcoulier with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, despite swift response from law enforcement and emergency services.
Following the incident, homicide detectives took charge of the investigation, according to an update from the SLMPD. The detectives have, since then identified a suspect connected to the fatal shooting and are now focused on apprehending the individual. The St. Louis community has been asked to come forward with any information that could assist in the ongoing investigation, a testament, to the importance of public collaboration in solving such devastating cases.
The SLMPD is taking a proactive stance on the matter, urging the public to contact the Homicide Division with relevant details that could further the case.
