A Natick, Massachusetts home that reflects the style of the late 1960s has gone on the market, offering a preserved look at mid-century design. The four-bedroom house at 39 Indian Ridge Road stands out for its original fixtures, patterned wallpapers, and colorful decor, according to Boston.com.
Homeowner Larry Wolozin, 93, told Boston.com that his late wife, Norma, designed the interior herself when the couple moved in after the house was built in 1967. One of her most distinctive design choices was covering the bathroom ceiling in wallpaper—a request she insisted on completing.
The home prominently features shades of blue throughout, from walls to bathroom fixtures. Wolozin told Boston.com that he and his wife often joked, “Well, blue never left with us.” Other notable features include a wood-paneled family room with a fireplace and a former garage space converted into a spa room with a hot tub.
According to Comrie Real Estate, Inc., the 2,488-square-foot property includes updates such as a new roof installed in 2022 and a new water heater in 2024. The house also offers central air conditioning and a screened-in porch.
Listed for $999,000, the property combines retro style with practical modern features while maintaining its 1960s character.
