The Fall River Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect connected to a deadly shooting outside Leonard's Package Store. Kendrick Williams, a 32-year-old man, was apprehended in Jacksonville, Florida, for the murder of Taiquan Teixeira, which took place last Saturday, as reported by the City of Fall River Police Department.
In a statement on social media, the Fall River PD credited the "tireless efforts" of their Major Crimes Division, as well as the Massachusetts State Police and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, for working in close collaboration to quickly to locate and arrest Williams. According to the City of Fall River Police Department Facebook post, the collaboration was steeped in professionalism and precision.
Williams now faces numerous charges and will be held without bail in Florida until his extradition back to Massachusetts. The Fall River Police Department extended their deepest condolences to the Teixeira family and offered prayers for their peace and comfort.
