
A fatal shooting in the Baden neighborhood has resulted in one death and the arrest of a suspect. The incident occurred on Friday night, when officers from District 6 were called to the 8400 block of Gast Pl. after reports of gunfire, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Upon arrival, police found a 46-year-old male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds, he was transported to the hospital, but sadly he was pronounced dead. A preliminary investigation led to the swift identification and apprehension of a 47-year-old man who was found close to the crime scene.
The authorities have now charged the suspect with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. The name of the man taken into custody has not been released, pending the ongoing investigation.
