On Monday, a high-speed chase in Clayton County ended in the death of a suspect after deputies pursued a reportedly stolen 2024 Chevrolet Silverado. The chase concluded near the I-75/85 interchange south of Highway 166, where a PIT maneuver was used, and the suspect, Moshe Ben Y. Israel Williams, 44, was struck by a car while trying to flee on foot, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.
Authorities discovered that Williams had 12 prior driver’s license suspensions and marijuana was found in the truck. Despite efforts to apprehend him, Williams suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
After a PIT maneuver on I-75/85 northbound, Williams exited his vehicle and tried to cross the interstate. He was run over after a chain reaction crash involving two cars. The northbound lanes were closed for nearly two hours near Langford Parkway and reopened around 6 a.m., as reported by 11Alive.
