
Kareem Kimbro, 39, has been taken into custody on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle. During the arrest in Nashville, authorities reportedly found firearms and narcotics in his possession. Detectives from the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Division were involved in the apprehension.
According to a report by WSMV, the vehicle Kimbro was driving, a Dodge Charger, had been reported stolen the last Friday. The car had a temporary tag that was registered to a different vehicle, a Honda. After being stopped on Murfreesboro Pike, Kimbro was arrested on Carroll Street shortly after exiting the Charger.
During a search of the vehicle, authorities found cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, MDMA pills, and an AR-style pistol. NewsChannel 5 reported that the firearm had been stolen in 2023 from Airport Center Drive. A scale was also recovered from the vehicle, which could indicate possible intent to distribute the drugs.
Kimbro has a prior criminal record as a convicted felon. He is facing multiple charges, including vehicle theft, theft of a firearm, altering a license plate, and various gun and drug offenses. WKRN stated that his bond was set at $206,000.
As of this writing, no further information has been released about the case or any possible accomplices. Kareem Kimbro, who was arrested in connection with a stolen vehicle containing firearms and drugs, is awaiting the next steps in the legal process.
