A crash on Interstate 195 in Dartmouth last night resulted in the death of a young motorcyclist. According to the Fall River Reporter, Massachusetts State Police from the Dartmouth Barracks were dispatched to the scene around 11:30 p.m., and emergency crews responded to the incident.
Upon arrival, Dartmouth EMS pronounced 20-year-old Pierre Hriz of Taunton deceased at the scene. A statement obtained by MassLive noted that the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) assisted by closing the left and middle lanes while the scene was surveyed and cleared.
The Massachusetts State Police have deployed the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Detective Unit, and the Crime Scene Services Section to investigate the crash. The circumstances of the incident are under active investigation.
