A crash between a Toyota Avalon and a Chevy Equinox in the Vandeventer neighborhood yesterday afternoon injured three men. The collision occurred at the intersection of Page Boulevard and Whittier Street, with the Avalon traveling south and the Equinox east. The impact caused the Equinox to flip, and both vehicles came to rest near the corner of the intersection, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Following the crash, three men were injured. The driver of the Equinox, a 31-year-old man, is in critical but stable condition and was transported to the hospital. A 19-year-old from the Avalon is also in critical but stable condition, along with another 19-year-old male whose connection to the vehicles has not been confirmed. Authorities have not released details regarding who may have run the red light.
Investigators are examining the circumstances of the crash. Accident reconstruction specialists are reviewing the incident to determine whether human error, mechanical failure, or other factors contributed to the collision.
