During the holiday season in Multnomah County, the TriMet Transit Police Division worked with deputies and officers at the Portland Tree Lighting Ceremony at Pioneer Courthouse Square to ensure public safety and manage the crowds. They coordinated with TriMet’s Customer Safety Supervisors to oversee MAX train operations amid increased holiday foot traffic, as reported by the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.
The police also partnered with the Portland Police Bureau to enhance security through visible presence and community engagement.
