Tunica County Teen Hospitalized Following Shooting, 15-Year-Old Suspect Identified

A teenage shooting incident in Tunica County has launched an investigation after a distressing call to 911 last Saturday. The Tunica County Sheriff's Office detailed in a press release that they received information about a shooting from an individual who reported being wounded, the individual, a 16-year-old male, was discovered at Kirby Road Estates in Robinsonville with multiple gunshot injuries.

When deputies arrived at approximately 5:05 p.m at 2669 Kirby Road, they found the juvenile suffering from the assaults of bullet wounds, medical response was prompt, with Pafford Emergency Medical Services attending to the victim on the spot and eventually Wings air ambulance facilitating his rush to a local hospital where he could get the urgent care his condition demanded. The authorities, in the midst of their initial sweep, established a 15-year-old male juvenile as a suspect; however, the veil of youth protects their identities, barring additional disclosure for now under the swaddle of juvenile privacy.

The sheriff's office has called upon the community for any leads, insisting that this is an active and ongoing case.
