A report of a violent encounter at Highway Tire last Wednesday, has led to multiple felony charges for two North Carolina men. The Catawba County Sheriff's Office responded to a disturbance call in Sherrills Ford, which involved an alleged assault against a vendor by two employees, one of whom was reportedly armed. The sheriff's office stated that the suspects not only attacked the victim but also fired a gun into his delivery vehicle and made off with his property.
Following the incident, Eric Taylor Anderson and Scott Eric Anderson were arrested and are now facing serious charges, including robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping. The Sheriff's Office released a statement detailing the charges, which, for Eric Anderson, also include shooting into occupied property, and assault by pointing a gun.
The Catawba County Sheriff's Office's Public Information Officer Major Aaron Turk has confirmed, that Eric Anderson was set with a $200,000 secured bond, and Scott Anderson with a lesser amount of $75,000. Both of the accused are slated for a district court appearance on November 25, to answer to these charges.
