West Palm Beach is gearing up for an illumination extravaganza this holiday season, with the return of Holiday in Paradise, presented by Florida Power & Light Company. Commencing on December 4, the city's Waterfront will be lit by a "Symphony of Lights," with the centrepiece being Sandi, a 35-foot, 700-ton sand sculpture of a holiday tree. According to a report from the City of West Palm Beach, the celebrations will offer an array of activities spread across the city, from the Clematis by Night Holiday Tree Lighting to the Great Lawn's New Year's Eve bash with live music and fireworks.

The Holiday in Paradise festivities, coined West Palm Wonderland, are interwoven into the fabric of various neighborhood gatherings, lighting up the collective spirit of areas such as The Ben, CityPlace, and Historic Northwest. Mayor Keith A. James captured the essence of the occasion, stating, “From the glow of Sandi on the Waterfront to the joy of our neighborhood celebrations, West Palm Wonderland brings our entire city to life. It’s a season to reflect, connect, and celebrate all that makes West Palm Beach such a vibrant place to call home.” The holiday décor display, now a contender for the title of "Best Public Holiday Lights Display" by USA TODAY 10Best, is open for public voting leading up until December 1, as noted by the city's website.

Every evening through December 31, the waterfront will host music and light shows, with extended hours on New Year's Eve, and rides on the Ferris wheel for visitors. The City of West Palm Beach details a robust lineup of performances such as Sound Society and Phoenix5, while Sandi's grand finale on New Year's Eve promises to dazzle spectators with a fireworks display overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.

Angela Poco, Marketing and Community Events Manager for the City of West Palm Beach, insisted this year would bring even more lights, joy, and festive spirit to the community. The anticipation is palpable, as Sandi, sculpted from recycled sand used in years past, represents more than just holiday cheer. For more information about the events schedule, tickets, and parking, individuals can visit the official Holiday in Paradise website or follow the City’s social media channels for live updates.
