Jamii Court in West Portland Park is set to begin construction following its financial closing, bringing 96 affordable homes ranging from studios to 4-bedroom apartments. The project, led by Community Partners for Affordable Housing and supported by the Metro Housing Bond, includes 49 deeply affordable units, with 15 reserved as Permanent Supportive Housing for those transitioning out of homelessness, according to the City of Portland.
The development will feature community amenities such as rooms, a lending library, computer stations, and green spaces with fruit trees to support engagement and well-being. LRS Architects is handling the design while O'Neill/Walsh Community Builders manages construction, with additional support from the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund to enhance energy efficiency, as reported by the City of Portland.
Jamii Court is a new affordable housing project in Portland, located near bus lines, parks, schools, and a library. The development is designed to fit into the neighborhood and will offer resident services through the Urban League of Portland and HAKI Community Organization. It is supported by the Metro Housing Bond and aims to provide accessible and sustainable housing, as stated by the City of Portland.
