Special agents from various departments within the Task Force were honored at the Tennessee Narcotic Officers Association Conference in Chattanooga, receiving awards that highlight their success in interdiction efforts and impact on their communities.
The awards include 'Interdiction Team of the Year' given to the Criminal Interdiction Team and individual honors such as 'Interdiction Officer of the Year' to Special Agent Keaton Gregory, who is also credited with a 'Community Impact Award'. Other awards given were the 'Meth Man Award' to Special Agent Caleb Burton, the 'Pill Punisher Award' to Special Agent Brooks Gatlin, and a slew of 'Community Impact Awards' to Agents Caleb Burton, Andre Nash, Patrick Hassell, Dion Cicinelli, and Kevin Hill. These recognitions are designed to tightly celebrate the agents' dedication and the tangible results of their work.
Special Agent Jeffrey Marshall received a 'Life Saving Award', confirming the life-or-death stakes inherent in the work these agents carry out. A press release from the West Tennessee Drug Task Force detailed the collaboration among various local agencies, including Memphis, Brownsville, and Dyersburg Police Departments, among others, that culminates in a unified force against crime and narcotics in West Tennessee.
Shelby County D.A. Steve Mulroy expressed pride in the Task Force, stating, "These awards reinforce what we already see from day-to-day operations — the West Tennessee Violent Crime and Drug Task Force is performing at a top level not only in Tennessee, but nationwide."
