
Deputies in El Paso County launched a search Tuesday after 12-year-old Aubrey Walker walked away from the 100 block of Kokomo Street in the Widefield area. She was described as about 5 feet tall and 150 pounds, last seen in a gray shirt and shorts with a black hoodie—and no shoes. Family and authorities said they were deeply concerned for her safety, and the initial alert asked the public for immediate help.
The alert went out on X from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, which shared her description and the non-emergency tip line at 719-390-5555. The post urged anyone who saw Aubrey or had information to contact deputies to help reunite her with her family.

According to KOAA, deputies later reported Aubrey had been found and returned home as of 8:20 a.m. Tuesday. That update superseded the earlier alert, indicating the active search was called off after she was located.
