A 47-year-old woman has died following a stabbing incident in Morningside Heights, and the NYPD is investigating. According to ABC7NY, the woman, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside in critical condition today and later died from multiple stab wounds.
Law enforcement sources report that the woman was found in her apartment at 409 West 129th Street after a cleaner discovered her around 4:25 a.m. The suspect remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing, as per AMNY.
The NYPD is actively searching for the suspect and has released a description of the man believed to be involved. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweater, and no additional details about his identity have been disclosed.
