
A tragedy unfolded early Friday morning as a woman was struck and killed by a CTA Blue Line train near the Logan Square station, causing significant delays on the transit system. The incident, reported by the Chicago Sun-Times, took place around 4:30 a.m. at 2620 N. Milwaukee Ave. Following the event, the CTA advised commuters of service disruptions and provided alternative transportation options.
According to WGN-TV, the woman was pronounced dead on the scene by authorities after being on the tracks and hit by an arriving train. Following the emergency, police began a death investigation while detectives worked the scene in an effort to piece together the events that led to her death.

To assist passengers affected by the incident, the agency is providing shuttle buses that connect between Grand and Jefferson Park in both directions, with trains turning at Jefferson Park to head north and at Grand to go south.
