
Early this morning, Worcester Police officers arrested a juvenile male following an alleged break-in on Mill Street. At approximately 4:27 a.m., officers responded after a homeowner reported seeing the suspect on their security camera, according to the Worcester Police Department release.
Police established a search perimeter and began a foot pursuit when the suspect was spotted. The juvenile attempted to evade capture by entering Patch Pond but was later taken into custody. He was provided a thermal blanket and transported to a hospital for evaluation. The incident follows two similar reported break-ins in the Tatnuck Square area.
The suspect faces multiple charges, including unarmed burglary at nighttime, larceny under $1,250, malicious destruction of property, possession of burglarious tools, and resisting arrest. The Worcester Police Department’s Detective Bureau is investigating possible connections between this case and the earlier incidents.
