An 18-year-old is facing charges following a vehicle pursuit that ended with a patrol car being struck in Cobb County. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the incident occurred yesterday, when DUI Task Force officers observed two vehicles racing. One of the vehicles, a gray Dodge Charger, was driven by Michael Coley, authorities said.

When officers attempted to stop the vehicles, both drivers fled, prompting a pursuit. The Cobb County Police Department told 11 Alive that during the chase, an officer was intentionally struck by Coley’s Dodge Charger before the vehicle escaped once again.

The pursuit ended when Coley, who was unharmed during the incident, turned himself in to authorities. No officers reported serious injuries. Coley’s vehicle was impounded, and he now faces charges including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, two counts of felony fleeing, speeding, and reckless driving.
