Early in the morning yesterday, December 1, a 19-year-old male was shot multiple times near the intersection of Mayson Turner Rd. NW and Chappell Rd. NW in Atlanta. According to the Atlanta Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 2:35 a.m., with officers from Zone 1 responding to the emergency call.
The victim was found conscious and able to quickly communicate with first responders. He was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment. As investigations tend to painstakingly reveal more over time, the current belief is that the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute with someone the victim knew. The shooting may have taken place near 1247 Joseph E. Boone Blvd. NW, as indicated by preliminary information gathered at the scene.
