The serenity of a Christmas morning in Rock Springs, Walker County, Georgia, was shattered when a 2-year-old child suffered a gunshot wound. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) confirmed they are working with local law enforcement on this disturbing case.
According to the GBI, Walker County deputies rushed to a 911 call at around 9:50 a.m. on Thursday. The emergency was in the 300 block of Tarvin Road, finding the child, when and EMS personnel arrived, who immediately transported the victim to a hospital. Despite the violence inflicted, the child is expected to survive the ordeal.
The tragic incident led the Walker County Sheriff’s Office to seek assistance from the GBI in investigating the shooting.
