Tragedy struck on Christmas Eve in Southeast Atlanta, where a 67-year-old woman fell victim to a fatal gunshot wound. The incident took place at 2552 Tilson Dr. SE, where, according to the Atlanta Police Department's official news release, officers were dispatched around 1:50 P.M. in response to a report of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement found the victim critically wounded and promptly transported her to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, the woman, whose identity has not been publicly disclosed, subsequently died from her injuries.
Authorities have not released any information regarding potential suspects or motives in the shooting. The Homicide Unit is actively investigating the sequence of events that led to this tragic outcome.
