
A 70-year-old woman has been charged with a DUI following a chain of vehicular incidents in which she allegedly struck nine parked cars at a Knoxville apartment complex, as stated by the Knoxville Police Department. The string of collisions occurred yesterday evening around 7:15 p.m. at Moss Grove Apartments, located on Sapling Grove Way, Knoxville police representative Scott Erland conveyed to WVLT.
According to statements given to police officers on the scene, the driver, identified as Cynthia Ensor, admitted to returning from the Chop House, a nearby restaurant, after consuming alcohol there, both WATE and WBIR report this; she resides at the apartments where the incident unfolded and evidenced signs of influence, according to the Knoxville Police Department's account. Further evidence of alcohol consumption was found in her vehicle police revealed, there were no immediate reports of any bystanders being injured during the event.
Ensor was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for minor injuries sustained during the collisions, and she was booked early this morning facing multiple charges that include driving under the influence.
